Dog Sponsorship - For only Euro 30

per year you can sponsor a dog of your choice.

How to Adopt/Sponsor a dog and/or become a member

The Island Sanctuary has over 700 members financially supporting the charity, but we would love to have a greater number in order to ensure the survival of the Sanctuary.

Running Costs:

exceed Euro 46,000 annually and more financial aid is required to improve facilities for the benefit of the dogs.

You can contribute by becoming an Annual Member, Sponsoring a dog of your choice, or simply making any donation.

All donations received go solely towards the care of our dogs and the upkeep of the Sanctuary itself.

Annual Member

As an annual member you will have:

• The quarterly newsletter
• The knowledge that you are helping us to help the needy strays and abandoned dogs of Malta

Dog Sponsorship

As it is possible that some dogs may never be homed, this sponsorship scheme has been set up. In order to maintain their stay at the Sanctuary all dogs require a balanced diet, clean pens, medical attention, bedding, and exercise. For just 3-cents a day you can sponsor a dog and become his or her best friend.

For this you will receive:

• Color photograph of your sponsored dog
• Details and background history
• Quarterly newsletter

You are also very welcome to come and visit your sponsored dog and give that extra special attention such as a walk or a groom, but we advise you to phone before on number 21659895 to make sure that there will be somebody at the santcuary at the time you would like to come.

If you have no space or time for a dog as a pet at home, then this scheme gives you the opportunity to have the next best thing.

Note: Sponsored dogs may still be adopted and found a home (approved by The Island Sanctuary), but you will be informed if this occurs.

Please note that we may not already have the photo and the dog profile of the particular dog you may wish to sponsor. Ideally, the choice of dog you wish to sponsor should be left to us. It does not make much sense to sponsor a dog which is bound to find a home in a few days! The Euro equivalent are:
